  • Bologna:- Italy's Largest Art Fair, Arte Fiera Art First, Celebrates its 35th Edition, 28 to 31 January 2011.

  • Go to Artprice Home:- Artprice and the FIAC are pleased to announce the distribution of their latest report on the Contemporary Art Market 2009/2010. This report will be freely available to the press and visitors to the FIAC at the Grand Palais and the Cour Carrée du Louvre from 21 to 24 October 2010 (while stocks last). According to ArtPrice.com , pieces from the 15 highest-selling artists have totaled $527,556,988 thus far in 2009. Works by those artists have posted average annual growth of 151.47% since 1999. The S&P 500 is down 23.5% during that time.

  • Returning America's Art to America. The Associates of the American Wing and the Friends of the Detroit Film Theater jointly host the world premiere of the new documentary film, Returning America's Art to America. Produced by the United States General Services Administration (GSA), the 24-minute film traces efforts by the GSA and other Federal Agencies to recover lost and stolen works of art produced by artists working for the New Deal art projects of the 1930s and 1940s. One of the most important works of art featured in the film, John Sloan's painting Fourteenth Street at Sixth Avenue (1934), was recently recovered by the GSA, subsequently lent to the DIA and is currently on view in Prentis Court.
