Marcel Favreau was born in Montreal, August 24, 1921.
From his childhood he showed interest in drawing. At the age of sixteen, he began his studies at the National Monument the following year, he was admitted to the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montreal in 1938 1940.
Owner of his art galleries, "Place Portobello ", and "Galleries St-Bruno". He taught painting to hundreds of students including several who have become professional artists.
Gifted with great sensitivity, emotional, sensitive to the beauty of nature and very sociable, he made many friends with whom he shared his joy of living.
Hard worker and perfectionist, he likes to say: "I'm not competing with anyone but myself, I must challenge myself with each painting". "Over time, the artist affirms his love of nature through landscape art.
He believes in divine inspiration and thought...the happiest man in the world. It is normal that this is reflected in his work.
He added: "What you see is me, my spirituality, my personality, my joie de vivre...I think the figurative while having great respect for abstract painters who do not seek ease..."
The artist Marcel Favreau made several exhibitions in Quebec, he has participated in ART-EXPO California in 1987, then-ART EXPO New York 1996 / 97 / 98 / 99 March 2000.
He received the title of "Académétien" of the 17/02/1997: Accademico Ordine del Verbano-GRECI MARINO.
In 1998 he was conferred the title of "Cavaliere" (Knight Official Academic).
